The concept for the environmental graphics is for each of their two office floors to correspond to each of their two shipping destinations, Tacoma and Anchorage. Tone on tone reflective wall graphics at the elevator lobbies on each floor, are graphic representations of each city skyline along with a TOTE ship leaving the port. Large scale wall graphics throughout the office combine local imagery with Tote Maritime photography of ships, ports, people and detailed close-ups. Images are collaged and colorized in order to create interesting textures and a unifying aesthetic. The graphics are surrounded with a thin painted metal frame to make them look more like art pieces, rather than floor to ceiling graphics. Glass privacy graphics in the large conference room on each floor highlight the largest mountains of each region.
