The signature orange color has been a part of Avalara’s brand ever since their first trade show booth. The concept of art and graphics is to showcase “things we love.” This concept is used in their offices around the world, and unique artwork is created focusing on the local culture of each office and the style of the city. The artwork of each floor is used to create a unique theme which including local landmarks, attractions and sports teams. These themes are used for conference room naming and imagery for wayfinding purposes. Another element is the orange crisscrossing wave throughout the office representing the complexities of the tax code, highlighting the problems they are solving for their customers. The bright, overlapping and gradated colors are used to brighten up the space and show that Avalara is a first and foremost a fun company.
